It’s that time of the year again! The Canadian Screen Awards, Canada’s premier event honoring the finest in cinema, television, and digital media, is preparing for its grand screening. The Canadian Screen Awards are in their twelfth year this year; excitement is evident as Canadian Screen Week draws near.
Due to venue availability, the Canadian Awards 2024 will now take place at the end of May instead of in April, as was previously announced. Fans and participants alike are thrilled that this change signals the return to an in-person format following many virtual editions caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.
The Canadian Awards 2024 are back in full glory, ready to amaze viewers from May 28 to May 31, 2024. This year’s awards event will take place in Toronto’s CBC Broadcast Centre, and it promises several high-quality performances.
New Venue and a New Date
The CEO of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, Tammy Frick, said that the purpose of shifting the Canadian Screen Awards to a new date and location was to improve the event and use resources more effectively. This shift is intended to give the awards a new life and focus on Canada’s exceptional talent.
